Organised by Deutsches Atomforum e.V. (DAtF) and Kerntechnische Gesellschaft e.V. (KTG), the Annual Meeting on Nuclear Technology took place at the ESTREL Convention Center in Berlin from May 14 till May 26, 2013. The range of topics covered all aspects of the peaceful utilization of nuclear energy – from fundamental research aspects to radiation protection and safety issues, the supply and management of nuclear fuel including its disposal, up to the operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Waste management is the core area of expertise of DBE TECHNOLOGY GmbH who – together with Wissenschaftlich-Technische Ingenieurberatung GmbH, Jülich – presented the latest research findings regarding this field during the technical session on “Reactor Physics and Methods of Calculation”.
